This'll be a interesting Season because of the Schedule and maybe we'll get a fresh NBA finales with the unusual suspects. You know the veteran teams will bitch about the schedule if they fail this season and I'm fine with that. I rather see an unpredictable season than the usual standards, but we'll see...

Really? Fourth seed for the Pacers? Not objecting to it but do you really think they're gonna get that far?

They have a younger team. Boston is going to be doing just enough to make the playoffs without killing the old guys. Orlando is a mess and Atlanta is a mess. I think between a 4-6 seed is where they'll land. David West was probably the best offseason free agent signing.
I think the key to why Indiana will do well is the team is young and fairly deep in a conference full of older teams or shallow teams that are going to have to rest guys and throw away games all season. I think Indiana will just coast through the season without those issues and rack up a lot of wins while other teams are conserving.

Nothing to really take away from day 1 if you ask me. I think it's going to be a long season for old teams like the Lakers and Celtics but that's not a surprise or anything. I think we're not going to know what teams have until late January.

Not sure what to think about the Bucks this year. Don't really have a superstar on the team, although i think they should be better scoring points. I think Shaun Livingston could be a surprise positive this year, I think he has talent and was a throw-in in a trade they made in the off season. Thinking right around .500 for the Bucks this year.

I am not hitting the panic button on my (and your defending NBA champion) Mavs yet... But damn that was an ugly loss, even before players started tossing their cookies on the bench. What's worse, is that before he started chucking the up, Sean Williams was pretty much the best guy out there last night.

The thing about the Mavs is, they lost so much more than just Tyson Chandler. Deshaun Stevenson helped them out a lot last year with some clutch shooting. They just look old right now. Maybe slow is a better term. IMHO, Mark Cuban is going to have to shake up the roster and try to get either young assets or some high picks. Its going to be hard for them to make the playoffs with rising teams like Denver and Portland coming around, not to mention the Clippers.

I think that Cuban honestly believes that the 2012-2013 Mavs will feature Dirk, Dwight Howard, and Deron Williams. That's why he didn't try to keep any of the pieces that left, and why he only offered Tyson and JJ Barea only one year deals. I think it's a pipe dream, because free agents don't want to come to Dallas, they want to use Dallas and Cuban's money for leverage against the teams they actually want to sign with.

Barea was tough. How much do you pay a limited skill guy that other teams will overlay because of some playoff success?
Dallas has a lot of new parts and a lot of older players. I think you're going to see them struggle until they hit their stride as a team.

Leave it to the media to turn a likable story like Jeremy Lin into a total annoyance and a faint hope that he flames out so they shut the fuck up about him. I swear, every fucking writer has posted a story on him in the last 3 days and it's getting tiresome.
And, if he played for any team but New York, Boston or L.A. they would be ignoring him.
And it's been five fucking games... chill out already.
Seriously media... try and hide your Knick homerism.

P.S. The Knicks are going to fall apart when Amare and dead ball Melo come back.

Also, is it just me or is there some serious buyers remorse going on with Knicks fans and Melo. Last year they wouldn't shut up about the guy, now they seem ready to ship him out of town. Can't say I blame them as he's a serious cancer.

Seriously maddog... try and hide your Anti-Knickism. It's just been five games?? Yeah, the best five game start ever. A lot of people are making this a race thing but I think the great thing about it is this- it gives hope to every team that if the guy on the end of their bench was just given a chance maybe it could turn the team around. There has to be other guys like Lin around. And by "like Lin" I mean guys who've not been given a chance, not Asian dudes. I don't like the Knicks either but this is a great story.

I agree... everyone's writing about him because it IS a great story. Remeber, he's not only Asian, he's an Ivy leaguer, which is almost as rare in the NBA.
Granted, he's not the 2nd coming of Jordan, nor do I think 5 games means he'll even be in the league next year, never might be productive.
