Friday Night Fireworks May 1st, 2009 Hammerstein Ballroom, NYC
Commissioner's Cup Match George Hackenschmidt* def. Danny Doring** with the Russian Bear Hug @ 7:42. Rating: ** ¼ Doring came out to the D-X theme, and was on fire early on, but the powerful Russian caught him in the Bear Hug for the relatively easy victory.
Shawn Michaels def. Nick Mondo(w/ Mistress Sherri)* with Sweet Chin Music @ 3:12. Rating: * Dominant victory for HBK on his return to the EWE. He promised the crowd that he would stand with D-X against the Dudleys, and that he was planning to say in EWE for a long time. Meanwhile, Sherri was furious at he charge suffering another defeat and screamed at Mondo before storming to the back, forcing him to follow pittifully behind.
Steve Regal/Doug Somers def. Billy Robinson**/Billy Lyons with a Cradle Suplex @ 7:21. Rating: * ½ The debut of Billy Robinson's new partner was not an impressive one, as the new team was unable to mount any offense.
In the back, the Long Riders are getting ready for their match, when a man in a cowboy hat enters their locker room.
Scott: What can we do for you, Tex. Man: It's what I can do for you, boys. Billy Watts is the name, and I'm gonna make you two stars... not just in the EWE, but all over the world. Here's what we do...
Rob Van Dam*** def. Gangrel*** (w/ Luna Vachon) with a Suicide Dive @ 13:52. Rating: *** ¾ Great match that had the crowd on the edge of their seat. RVD showed off the skills that make him a fam favorite, but Gangrel matched him move for move for most of the match, until he finally ran out of gas.
Sherri Martel** def. Sue Sexton*** with clothestline @ 5:43. Rating: *** ¼. Mistress Sherri was ruthless from the opening bell, using hair pulling, nail scratching, and anything else that came to mind. In the Wave of the Future Locker Room: Martel: See, that's how you win a match, boys. You better shape up or I'll be looking for a new bunch to take to the promised land. Now, who's gonna step up tonight?
Younger: Don't you fret none, Mistress... I'll take care of it.
Drake Younger**** def. Purple Haze**(w/ Kevin Sullivan) with Drake's Landing @ 13:31. Rating: **** Stellar match, and an unbelievable effort by Younger. Sullivan used the Golden Spike to good effect and busted him over early, but Younger fought through the pain and battled him outside the ring for most of the match. When the action moved back inside, Younger used a light tube to set up Drake's Landing for the win. After the match, two newcomers hit the ring and used a similar spike to lay destroy Younger. Jimmy Jacobs called for a mic, dipping it in Younger's blood. Jacobs: The establishment in the EWE is about to change. Welcome to the Age of the Fall.
Jacobs and Black then laid into Younger with stomps.. no one saved him.
EWE Tag Team Title Match Long Riders**(w/ Bill Watts) def. Buh Buh Ray/Spike Dudley @ 8:11 with a Superplex on Spike to win the EWE tag team title! Spike seemed to be filling in for Devon admirably early on, but new associate Bill Watts was able to cause a distraction, getting Buh Buh to chase him, and allowing the Irwin's to have their way with Spike in the ring to become the new EWE Tag Team champions!
EWE Title Match Tommy Dreamer def.. Kevin Sullivan(w/ Purple Haze and Luna Vachon) with the Dreamer Driver @ 3:10. Sullivan seemed more intrested in hurting the champ than winning the title, and didn't really fight back until after the bell. The Haze attacked Tommy from behind, and seemed poised to do some damange when RVD and Sherri Martel came down for the save! Dreamer shook hands with Van Dam as the two stood tall in the ring.

House Show Broome County Arena, Binghamton May 3rd. 2009
Commissioner's Cup Title Match George Hackenschmidt def. Maven** with a twisting heel hook @ 3:12. Rating: * 1/4 Not much of a debut for Maven... squash.
Nick Mondo* def. Jimmy Jacobs with a somersault plancha @ 3:44. Rating: * Jacobs looked like he was on his way to an easy win, but he stopped to preach to the crowd, and Mondo took advantage.
Tyler Black* def. Dustin Lee** with Phoenix Splash @ 10:53. Rating: ** 3/4 High Impact, entertaining match between two very evenly matches wrestlers.
Heartbreak Express def.Carnage Crew**** w/ Heartbreaker @ 6:35. Rating: **.. Not much of a debut for the Crew, either.. total squash.
Rockin' Robin def. Daizee Haze** w/ Flying Crossbody @ 4:12. Rating: * ¼ Daizee got a big hand, but faced a tough matchup, and never got much going.
New Age Outlaws* def. Pierre/'Pitbull' Vachon** with the Famasser @ 7:16. Rating: ** ¼ The Outlaws struggled early on, but they finally got their act together and got the win.
Non-Title Match Frank Gotch def. Wolfgang Dudley*** with Rolling Kneebar @ 11:52. Rating: ** 1/4 Gotch seems to be trying to train for Giant Baba, and took on the biggest man in EWE. Dudley dominated early, but once Gotch got him off his feet, it was all over.
Kevin Sullivan/Purple Haze(w/ Luna Vachon)def. Tommy Dreamer/RVD(w/ Sherri Martel)@ 4:10 with the Beelzebub Sleeper. Rating: * Luna's scream distracted RVD and the referee enough for Sullivan to blast him with the Golden Spike, leading to an easy win.

Of course I can say Famasser! It's his finisher!
Tuesday Night Throwdown May 5th, 2009 Lost Batallion Hall
Commissioner's Cup Match Tyler Black*** def. George Hackenschmidt** with the Phoenix Splash @ 11:42. Rating: **** Black had trouble with the old school mat style at first, but he got more comfortable as the match wore on. Jimmy Jacobs came out to celebrate the victory after the match.
Jacobs: 5 days under contract, and already we have gold. Age of the Fall will shine a new light in the dark corners of the EWE. The time for revolution is now.
Jacobs takes out his railroad spike and digs into Hackenschmidt's forehead, with bloody results. Black and Jacobs then head to the back.
John Pesek def. Doug Somers with the Double Wristlock @ 3: 14 Rating: * Pesek continues to roll with another easy victory.
Pesek: Frank, you're a good man. But so am I. I want 1 more shot at that pure title. I've beaten everyone else, you're the only one left for me to conquer. You know where to find me.
Ad Santel*** def. Danny Doring*with a Double Wristlock @ 8:34. Rating: ** ½ Both men gave it their all in an effort to make a case for a chance at the Light Heavyweight title. Doring made a good showing, but Santel is just too talented.
After the match, D-X came out and confronted Doring, who looks as if he was trying to talk his way out of something. At the end of the conversation, Road Dogg smiled, and HBK levelled Doring with Sweet Chin Music. They ripped off Doring's D-X t-shirt and left him in the center of the ring.
Naptown Dragons def. Gangrel/ Harker Dirge**(w/ Luna Vachon) with Die Hard Trilogy @ 5:02. Rating: * ½ The Dragons looked much more at ease than they had in recent weeks, and defeated the Army's henchmen easily.
After the match, Drake Younger came out, light tubes flying. Gangrel and Dirge left quickly.
Younger: What the #)$( was I thinking? 'Wave of the Future'. Ha! There's only one team that matters, and that's the Naptown Dragons. Sullivan, you freak, we're comin' for you, and there's not a damn thing you can do about it. If I were you... Nick Mondo comes out and gets in Younger's face, but gets flattened from behind for his trouble. He desparately fought his way out of the ring, and barely was able to escape.
Younger: It's over Nick! Go back to the has beens, maybe they'll let you ride their coattails, but you're no Dragon.
Sherri Martel def. Luna Vachon with a Top Rope Splash @ 1:54. Rating: ½ * The bad day for Sullivan's Army continues..
Rob Van Dam def.. Purple Haze with the 5 Star Frog Splash @ 1: 41. Rating: ½ * Another quick match... RVD took advantage of Sullivan giving instructions to the Haze and surprised him with the 5 – Star frog splash for the quick win.
AWA Champ Bob Backlund came down to the ring, to a huge pop.
Backlund: Thank you, my friends. I wanted to give you all an opportunity to give Nick Bockwinkel a big round of applause, he was brillant at Revolution, and deserves another chance at my Title... and Showdown is just the place for it. What do you say, Nick? 2 out of three falls, NO time limit... a definite champion... just me... and you.
non-Title Match AWA World Champ Bob Backlund**** def. Shawn Michaels*** with Rolling Backbridge @ 18:32. Rating: **** ½ Fantastic Main Event! HBK showed the A game he displayed in Japan and took the World Champ to the limit. Backlund just barely got his foot on the ropes after Sweet Chin Music, and that turned out to be the turning point.
