Jan. 5th, 2009 Hammerstein Ballroom Press Room A small, quiet man wearing glasses approached the podium, and looked out over the very small crowd. Exec: Hello, welcome to the opening of the latest LWA territory. He’s been with the LWA before, I think some of you will remember him. A smile crossed the exec’s face as former LWA commissioner Wildfire took the podium. Wildfire: Thanks, Sam. I sure some of you have been wondering where I’ve been. Well, it’s none of your business. What matters is I’ve seen that the LWA is less without me, so I’m back, and doing what needs to be done, bringing exciting, LWA action to the biggest market in the world, New York City! Welcome, if you will, the champions of the new Empire Wrestling Extreme, Chris Jericho and former National Tag Champs, the New Age Outlaws! Degeneration X’s theme music screamed over the loud speaker as the three men entered the press room in suits. All three were happy and confident. Wildfire: Welcome, gentleman, it’s my pleasure to present these belts… Suddenly, the door slammed open and Tommy Dreamer stormed into the room with Al Snow and The Sandman behind him, Dreamer: I didn’t sign on to watch you trash the title before I get it, Mr. Big Time! Jericho, you’re a good man, what do you say me and you settle this like men, and put on the first, best show this people see! The press room popped at this.. But Jericho and the Outlaws looked uncomfortable. After a moment, Wildfire smiled. Wildfire: Tommy, Tommy, Tommy. You didn’t disappoint me. You’re right, you didn’t sign on to watch me do anything except write your paycheck. I knew I could count on you. That’s why, tomorrow night, you will face Jericho for the EWE title, while you friends face the Outlaws for the EWE Tag titles. Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a main event for tomorrow night. Tickets are on sale at the door. Have a good night! Jericho and the Outlaws were complaining to Wildfire as he left alone, while Dreamer motioned to Jericho and the belt.

Jan. 6th, 2009 Hammerstein Ballroom EWE Premiere Spectacular
Sam, the executive assistant was in the ring to start the show
Sam: Welcome, my friends, to the first ever EWE card! We will crown champions, and see all the great superstars of the EWE roster tonight. We hope you will join us starting this Friday night for out new weekly show, Friday Night Fireworks, broadcast LIVE from right here in the birthplace of Hardcore wrestling action, the Hammerstein Ballroom. Let’s get to the action!
Nick Mondo Vs. Necro Butcher The crowd popped as ‘Last Resort’ blared over the PA and ‘Sick’ Nick Mondo hit the ring. The crowd turned on him quickly, though, when he told the crowd he’d show the ‘fossils’ like Tommy Dreamer what real extreme wrestling was, and then announce his opponent, Necro Butcher.
Necro Butcher came out strong, and nearly got Mondo to tap to the Asiatic Spike submission, but Mondo was able to knock the referee into him to break the hold. He used a chair with M. Bison to get the pinfall after the quick reversal. Nick Mondo** def. Necro Butcher* with M.Bison @ 6:42
Marc Mero Vs. Sputnik Monroe Sputnik came out with a mountain of bling, and was still getting himself ready when the Wildman laid into to him to start the match.
Mero never let up and finished the match with the Wild Thing. Gangrel came out after the match, and got nose to nose with Mero, but then clapped him on the shoulder before return the the back, leaving a perplexed yet victorious Wildman. Marc Mero def. Sputnik Monroe**** with Wild Thing @ 7:13
Backstage, in Wildfire’s Office: The Outlaws and Chris Jericho and whining at the boss, upset they have to work for the title belts, he lets them wind down before speaking
Wildfire: Boys, boys, come on! What’s Superman without Lex Luthor? What’s Batman without the Joker? You NEED a good rival to show just how good you are. Sure, Tommy and his boys have been around the block a few times, but they’ll give you credibility.. The kind you need to get back onto the National stage. Chris, I told you I’d get you the recognition you deserve, right? How’s that gonna go if you’re just handed a title belt. Win those matches tonight, gentleman, and you’ll be on your way. Now get out of my office. Road Dogg seems ready to argue some more, but Jericho silences him and they leave to prepare for their respective matches.
Z-Men(Tom Zenk/Buck Zumhoff) Vs. Heartbreak Express Zumhoff and Zenk got the older fans in the audience fired up as ‘Rock me like a Hurricane’ blared over the speakers, but the Heartbreak Express were not impressed. Phil got a big pop with a moonwalk before level Zumhoff with a chair to start the match. The Express beat the crap out of Zumhoff, but he was able to make the hot tag and Zenk ran circles around Sean before knocking him through the announce table with a missile dropkick on the apron for the win. Z-Men** def. Heartbreak Express* with a Top Rope Dropkick @ 5:17
EWE Tag Title Match New Age Outlaws Vs. Hardcore Legends(The Sandman/Al Snow) The crowd went crazy as ‘Enter Sandman’ brought The Sandman and Al Snow to the ring. Road Dogg seems like he was surprised that the fans were behind his opponents, and actually stumbled through his usual intro, for which Billy whapped him on the back of the head. Once the match started, however, the Outlaws looked like the team that held the National Tag Team Titles. They dismantled the Legends, and easily claimed the EWE Tag Titles, to a mixed crowd response. The New Age Outlaws def. The Hardcore Legends****** with a Pump Handle Slam @ 9:51 to become the first EWE Tag Team Champions
EWE Title Match Chris Jericho Vs. Tommy Dreamer Much like the Outlaws, Jericho did not take kindly to being booed, but he didn’t accept it quietly.
Jericho: What, you think I’m not hardcore? You think that broken down fossil should be your champion. chants of “Tommy Dreamer” start . I’ll show you hardcore! Jericho goes outside and tossed a variety of foreign objects into the ring, while Dreamer smiles and encourages the crowd. . Let’s go,Mr. Hardcore icon, let’s see what you got left!
Jericho started the match on fire, getting a near fall after suplexing Dreamer onto a ladder, but lost the momentum when Dreamer used a Kendo stick to break the Walls of Jericho. Y2J was stunned just long enough for Tommy to orient himself to the weapons around the ring, which he put to good use. A chair shot followed by a DDT onto the chair put Jericho out for good. The crowd went crazy, but just as Dreamer was about to speak the Outlaws hit the ring and attacked. The Sandman and Snow were quickly in for the save, but not before Dreamer was spiked on the concrete. His friends helped him to the back as the crowd chanted his name. Tommy Dreamer*** def. Chris Jericho** with a DDT @ 11: 30 to become the first EWE Champion!

EWE No Angels Tour O’Neil Center, Danbury, CT Jan. 6th, 2008
Marc Mero Vs. Necro Butcher Brutal, high impact match! Necro Butcher pound the $#!# out of Mero for most of the match, but the Wildman took and and was eventually able to turn his superior athletic ability to his advantage. Strangely, just after the bell rang, Gangrel came to ringside and took notes on the match, a strange sight indeed. Marc Mero def. Necro Butcher with the Wild Thing @ 10:21
Gangrel Vs. Sputnik Monroe Monroe seems to have learned his lesson, and came to the ring in a big fur coat, but with far less bling… never taking his eyes off his opponent. The vampire made an attempt to gnaw on Monroe, who seemed horrified, but took new inspiration and quickly won the match. Gangrel was upset at the loss, and at a signal from him the lights went out. After a few moments of utter silence, the lights came back on to show a stunned Monroe in the center of the ring, covered in what appeared to be blood. Monroe was none the worse for wear physically, and slowly made his way to the back, muttering to himself. Sputnik Monroe def. Gangrel with a Neck breaker @ 3:54
Z-Men Vs. Heartbreak Express It seems these two teams have developed some seriously animosity very quickly. Phil Davis came out and smashed Rock ‘n’ Roll Zumhofe’s boom box, while Sean promised the crowd they wouldn’t lose to such losers again. The Z-Man responding by reminding the Heartbreakers who had a contract and who was just in town for a couple days, and the match was on. The Davises were in control early, but Zenk was able to make the save after a pair of Heartbreakers. All hell then broke loose, with all four men fighting both in and out of the ring. The referee made no real attempt to restore order, but while Sean was pummeling Rock ‘n’ Roll Zumhofe with a chair, The Z-Man cause Sean with a Top Rope Dropkick and got a quick cover before the others knew what happened. The Z-Men def. The Heartbreak Express with a Top Rope Dropkick @ 9:50.
Nick Mondo Vs. Al Snow ‘Sick’ Nick quickly turned the crowd against him when he mocked Head, and Snow quickly tried to introduce him, up close and personal. Mondo ran circles around his veteran opponent, however, and got the quick victory, much to the crowd’s dismay. Nick Mondo def. Al Snow with the Life Cutter @ 3:39
Chris Jericho Vs. The Sandman Chris Jericho was a decidedly unhappy man as he headed to the ring as the crowd went wild for the Sandman. Learning from his match against Tommy Dreamer, Jericho attempted to keep the wrestling clean and in the ring, but the Sandman’s trusty Singapore Cane saw to it that it was an extreme match indeed. Jericho was bleeded from the vicious blow as the crowd counted off the pin in glee. The Sandman def. Chris Jericho with a Cane shot @ 2:27
Non-title Match Tommy Dreamer Vs. Billy Gunn With Road Dogg at ringside, nipping at him at every opportunity, the champ never got much momentum going, and Billy was quick to take advantage. The Tag Champs continued their assault after the bell, dropping Dreamer hard on his head with a double Spike Piledriver before Sandman and Al Snow were able to make the save. Billy Gunn def. Tommy Dreamer with a piledriver @ 4:36

Marc Mero** Vs. Buck Zumhofe* Zumhofe dominated early on, but Mero was able to turn things around. He caught him with the Wild Thing to get the win. Gangrel was once again at ringside, taking notes and nodding and smiling a lot. Marc Mero def. Buck Zumofe with the Wild Thing @ 4:36.
Nick Mondo***** Vs. The Sandman**** Total Bloodbath. Mondo used everything he could get his hands on, but the Sandman just kept taking it. The crowd was going crazy as the two men tore the hell out of each other. Mondo took multiple shots from the Sandman’s cane, but kept coming, until finally the blood loss kept him down. The Sandman def. Nick Mond with a cane shot @ 17:15
Tom Zenk*** Vs. Phil Davis Davis seemed very annoyed they were unable to beat ‘joke of a team’, and finally got to take some frustrations out in an impressive victory. Phil Davis def, Tom Zenk with a Super kick @ 7:35
Necro Butcher Vs. Al Snow*** Nick Mondo was at ringside, cheering Necro Butcher on. He seemed in total control, until Mondo wandered over to Head and picked her up. Snow seemed to get a 2nd win and grabbed her back, then crushed Necro with it, then finished him off. Mondo shook his head and departed without talking to either man. Al Snow def. Necro Butcher with Snow Plow @ 5:28
Tommy Dreamer came out in street clothes to address the fans, he nearly fell over going through the Ropes, the symptoms of a concussion clear:
Dreamer: It’s not that stuff the Sandman has, I swear. crowd chuckles Jericho, I have to ask, what are you doing here. You’re a great wrestlers, and you know how to work a crowd, but you don’t have it here Tommy pounds his chest to be Extreme.
You’re not gonna make your mark here, it’s too much for you. Go find a nice, tame territory, maybe those guys down south… I hear they’re so extreme, they have a Elvis look alike winning matches. That’s about your speed.
Jericho had heard enough, and hit the ring, with the Outlaws going through the crowd to attack from behind. The crowd, however, had other ideas, and refused to let them through. Dreamer got nose to nose with Jericho in the center of the ring You got something to say, punk?
Jericho fumed, but then turned and left, while the crowd shouted insults at him
Cage Match Gangrel Vs. Sputnik Monroe Monroe was looking over his shoulder as he came to the ring, obviously spooked from the blood bath. He demanded the Cage to match sure it didn’t happen again. Gangrel dropped after a quick cage shot, and Monroe got the win. Once again, however, the lights went out, and Monroe was revealed again convered in blood, Gangrel nowhere to be found. Sputnik Monroe def. Gangrel with a cage shot @ 3:48

The show opens with video from the locker room of Jericho and the New Age Outlaws/
Jericho: So once I get my rematch, we’ll make sure those losers Dreamer runs will are out of the picture then… Hey, hello?!?
Jericho spins Road Dogg around, realizing neither of his friends were paying attention. James took exception, and got nose to nose with him
Road Dogg: The ‘plan’, kimosabe, is that me and Billy are gonna get ready for our match tonight, while you pushes Jericho back should do the same. Champions motions to his EWE title belt prepare, and win matches. Now, did you have something else you wanted to say?
Jericho slams the locker and storms out… Billy Gunn shakes his head after him
Road Dogg; I think we may just need a new partner, Billy…
Marc Mero** Vs. Sputnik Monroe** This one was a fast paced, high impact match with several exciting spots. Gangrel continued his intrest in both men and sat at ringside, seemingly greatly enjoying the match. When the action spilled outside, Mero noticed him and pulled a punch, gesturing to him. He and Monroe temporarily stopped pounding on each other and leveled Gangrel, who fell over his chair and was down for the remainder. Mero re-started the match first and never let back up, getting the victory. Marc Mero def. Sputnik Monroe with a Slingshot Leg drop @ 8:01
Hardcore Legends Vs. Heartbreak Express The Davis boys meant business today, and charged the legends as they entered the ring. Phil quickly set up the Heartbreaker and got the quick win, earning them a smattering of boos from the crowd. Sean mooned the crowd as they exited. Heartbreak Express def. Hardcore Legends with the Heartbreaker @ 3:23
Nick Mondo Vs. Chris Jericho**** Mondo went to seek out Jericho in the back, and shook his hand. After gushing for a moment about what an honor it was to meet him, Mondo cracked him in the jaw, then dragged him to the ring. Jericho took a lot of punishment, but never recovered. Nick Mondo def. Chris Jericho with M. Bison @ 11:05
In the commissioner’s office, Sam is sitting in from of Wildfire’s desk
Sam: I really think Sputnik Monroe would be a great addition, boss? Wildfire: I’m not sure about him, Sam. Will he really fit in? He won some matches, sure, but he’s trying a little to hard… I think Necro Butcher is our man from this batch.
Sam: What about Jericho?
Wildfire: Chris Jericho needs to learn that champions WIN matches… the only thing he seems to be champion of is whining. Make that call. Sam: Already, Sir? Wildfire: No need to wait, I don’t see anything changing. Jericho then bursts in to the office
Jericho: When do I get my rematch? Wildfire: Rematch? You have to be the top contender for that.. You, my friend, are far from it right now. Jericho: We had a deal! I only signed on to your little freak show because you said I was going to be the face of the territory. You said..
Wildfire: Enough! You can’t be the face of anything when you lose more matches than you win. Get your act together, then come back and we’ll talk. Jericho, furious, upends the chair he was sitting in and storms out Sam: I see, I’ll make the call, boss.
Necro Butcher***** Vs. Gangrel**** Necro came out with a mic and asked Gangrel what he was up to. He smiled, showing his filed teeth, and hissed ‘research’ before starting the match with a forearm to the face. Once they got started, this was easily the most brutal match in the young history of EWE, with both men wearing the crimson mask and utilizing a variety of weapons from both under the ring and the fans. Necro got the victory when he followed up smashing a picture of beer in Gangrel’s face with the Asiatic Spike submission. Necro Butcher def. Gangrel with the Asatic Spike @ 16:11
EWE Champ Tommy Dreamer comes out to a huge pop. He’s in street clothes once again, but look a bit more steady on his feet
Dreamer: Next week, Me and the Sandman are going down south. We had a lesson to give out. Back in the day, SMW was old school…. I loved that stuff as a kid. But now, they paid a bunch of good friends a lot of money to try to be ‘hardcore’. crowd boos I’m glad for them making the payday, but boys, its time to come home. Take a look at this:
Dreamer runs clips from SMW Firestorm, showing Mike Awesome getting beat by the Honky Tonk Man, then Taz
You think that piece of crap can wrestle. I’ll tell you what, Mr. Fat Elvis. You bring your little guitar and your annoying little manager. Me and the boys will bring OUR favorite weapons, and we’ll see what happens. The crowd erupts in a ‘Tommy Dreamer’ chant as ‘Man in the Box’ roars over the speakers
EWE Tag Title Match New Age Outlaws Vs. Z-Men** The crowd didn’t seem to like this match up, and actually started chanting for the Hardcore Legends during the match. The Outlaws seem to have accepted they lack of crowd support, and took care of business in seemingly easy fashion. The New Age Outlaws def. Z-Men with the Famasser @ 6: 46 to retain the EWE Tag title

Iceberg Vs. Marc Mero* Iceberg really got the crowd behind him with his arial tactics, shaking the ring as he flattened Mero on his way to victory. Gangrel, who was once again at ringside with a clipboard, seemed disappointed. After the pinfall, the lights went out and Marc Mero found himself covered in blood, Gangrel no where to be seen. Iceberg pins Marc Mero with the Extinction Level Event @ 5:21
JD Michaels(w/ April Hunter)** Vs. Gangrel Gangrel was impressive here, dominating the match and getting the easy victory. April Hunter attempted interference, but Gangrel froze her in her tracks with his stare. After the match, Gangrel seemed poised to…claim her, when check dropped him with a low blow. Suddenly, a blood curling scream pierced the arena and Luna Vachon attacked Hunter. The two continued their brawl from Showcase until security separated them. Gangrel def. JD Michaels with the Impaler DDT @ 3:56
Hardcore Legends* Vs. Val Venis/”Pretty Boy” Dennis Condrey Val got a good reaction from the women in the crowd, and asked April Hunter to come back down. When she didn’t he told Dennis Condret they’d have to get serious, and Condrey got a bike chain from under the ring. Condrey wasted no time in using it, busting Al Snow open for the win. Venis/Condrey def. Hardcore Legends with a chain shot @ 3:22
Chris Jericho***** Vs. Nick Mondo** Jericho came out on a mission, determined to get back on track, but Nick Mondo had other ideas. He brought what appeared to be his car keys with him, and used them to good effect throughout the match. Jericho continually attempted to keep the match technical, but Mondo kept drawing blood. Jericho seemed to lose consciousness when Mondo hit M. Bison across the bloodied forehead of Jericho and covered him for the pin. Jericho had to be helped to the back. Nick Mondo def. Chris Jericho with M. Bison @ 14:41.
“Road Dogg” Jesse James** Vs. Tom Zenk** Road Dogg came out and asked Wildfire to find some decent competition for the tag ranks, which the Z-Man took exception to the comments, and too him to the limit before a distraction by Billy Gunn let James get the victory. Jesse James def. Tom Zenk with a Pump Handle Slam @ 8:28
EWE Title Match Tommy Dreamer*** Vs. Billy Gunn**** Vicious match! Gunn came out like a house on fire, and got a near fall with the Famasser in the first minute of the match. He kept the pressure on and got came without a whisker of getting the title. Dreamer fought back and refused to stay down. The champ battled back and threw everything he had at Gunn, and just hung on to get the win. Tommy Dreamer def. Billy Gunn with the Tommyhawk @ 10:17 to retain the EWE Title.

EWE No Angels Tour Mid-Hudson Civic Center, Poughkeepsie, NY Jan. 13th, 2009
Iceberg Vs. Al Snow After his very impressive debut against Marc Mero two days ago, there were high expectations for Iceberg here. He seemed thrown off his game by Snow’s antics entering the ring, and was caught by a haymaker just after the opening bell. Snow seemed surprised his punch was so effective, and quickly got the victory. Al Snow def. Iceberg with the Snow Plow @ 1:51
Chris Jericho* vs. Val Venis* Jericho continues sliding down the card.. After a good start, Val took control and never looked back. No weapons or other excuses in this one for Y2J. Val Venis def. Chris Jericho with the Money Shot @ 6:41
Marc Mero*** Vs. Gangrel Before the match, Mero demanded Gangrel to explain the blood bath, and the stalking, nearly popping a vein as he screamed both at Gangrel and the crowd. The EWE’s resident vampire walked slowly to the ring. “You were chosen, but I’m not sure if you are worthy. Tonight… we shall see. “ Mero seemed more angry than ever and attacked to start the match. Gangrel was ready, however, and threw something into Mero’s face. Mero vision was impaired for the duration, and never really got any offense going, Gangrel def. Marc Mero with the Impaler DDT @ 8:49
April Hunter vs. Luna Vachon*** The two really don’t like each other, and their battle that started on LWA showcase continued her without the rules. Vachon screamed as she waded into the fray, but Hunter’s control and solid wrestling was the superior style this day. Gangrel hit the ring after the match, Hunter was ready for a confrontation. But Gangrel ignored her completely.. Rather, he checked on Luna Vachon, helping her to the back. Hunter seemed first relieved, then a bit annoyed as she left the ring. April Hunter def. Luna Vachon with The Head Hunter @ 9:26
Dennis Condrey** Vs. The Sandman** No wrestling at all too play during this match, as Sandman pit his Singapore Cane against Condrey’s length of chain. The Sandman thanked Condrey for bringing the weapon, to get him ready for Hardcore Revolution. Condrey obliged by spliting him open with it, keeping Sandman down long enough for the 3 count, but not long enough to enjoy the win. Sandman recovered while Condrey was still celebrating the victory and Sandman beat him to a pulp, as Tommy Dreamer(who had come down to ringside) watched. Dennis Condrey def. The Sandman with a Chain shot @ 4:32
EWE Title Match Tommy Dreamer Vs. Buck Zumhofe After Sandman finished beating on Condrey, he tossed him to the floor and tossed a mic to Dreamer. “Me and the Sandman will be heading down south tonight, to show those wannabes in SMW what Extreme really is all about… there’s a lot of good guys down there, and maybe we’ll even bring a few back with up big pop There’s also some big idiots down there, and we plan on showing the LWA fans just how big. Buck, I apologize for what I’m about to do… you’re a good guy. But, see Honky Tonk Man isn’t here, and you’re the closest thing we have. At least you get a title shot out of it, right. As Zumhofe nods, Dreamer turns to have Sandman toss him a guitar, which he shattered over Zumhofe’s head See that, “honky”. THAT’S a guitar shot. Just think what will happen to you when I use an actual weapon. With that, Dreamer slid out of the ring and got a chair. Zumhofe was about to get up when Tommy set him up for a vicious DDT onto the chair, then got the easy cover. Tommy Dreamer def. Buck Zumhofe with a DDT @ 1:21

Chris Jericho Vs. Nick Spader** (LT) Jericho was furious at opening the card, and took his frustration out on Spader. The crowd chanted ‘biggest loser’ at Jericho, which only led him to be more ruthless in the ring. Chris Jericho def. Nick Spader @ 4:51 with a missile dropkick
Marc Mero Vs. Iceberg****** Mero was looking to avenge a loss to Iceberg earlier in the week, and looked like a champion here. Iceberg was helpless against his offensive onslaught. Even a stab with a fork couldn’t slow Mero down. After the match, Gangrel met Mero on the ramp and patted Mero on the shoulder with a smile before going back to his locker room. Marc Mero def. Iceberg with the Wild Thing @ 7:39
Billy Gunn****(w/ Jesse James) Vs. Al Snow**** The Outlaws came out together, and Road Dogg reminded Snow that he was all alone today. Snow looked suspicious, up until he crumpled to the ground when Chris Jericho blasted him from behind with a 2x4. Gunn squandered the advantage, however, and Snow battled back, getting hold of the 2x4 and getting a near fall before James saved him. The Outlaws and Jericho seemed poised to really do some damage when Nick Mondo came out to a huge pop and made the save. The match picked back up while Mondo fought off the help, but Billy Gunn was able to get back the advantage and get the pin. Billy Gunn def. Al Snow with the Famasser @ 12: 43
Z-Men Vs. Venis/Condrey Quick win for the newcomers, as Zumhoff seemed to busy dancing to get into the match. Val Venis pins Zumhofe with a fisherman’s Suplex @ 2:36
JD Michaels/April Hunter Vs. Gangrel/Luna Vachon The crowd was stunned into silence when Hunter entered the ring, they seemed to like her attire. This made Luna Vachon even more angry, and the two women started the match. After Vachon’s anger-fueled flurry, Hunter took control, but JD Michaels was unable to keep up the momentum.. Gangrel took over and planted him with the Impaler for the victory. Gangrel approached Hunter after the match, but simply told her to cover herself before scooping up Luna and going to the back… Hunter was not a happy camper, and stomped off without waiting for Michaels to recover. Gangrel/Luna Vachon def. JD Michaels/April Hunter with the Impaler @ 6:42

Chris Jericho**** Vs. JD Michaels**(w/ April Hunter) Michaels has not looked good during his week with EWE, but pulled out all the stops here, as the crowd got behind him, chanting ‘biggest loser’ at a furious Chris Jericho. Jericho was able to regain the momentum, and after April Hunter was able to break it up the 1st time, locked Michaels in the Walls for the win. Chris Jericho def. JD Michaels with the Walls of Jericho @ 11:47
Jericho called for a mic after the match, and demanded a title shot. That brought down a rain of boos, and the Commissioner.
Wildfire: Chris, Chris, Chris. You beat a guy that hasn’t won a match, that doesn’t make you the #1 contender, not by a long shot. We will, however, have a #1 contender’s match tonight. You friend, Billy Gunn, will take on Nick Mondo, for a shot at Tommy Dreamer next week. It won’t just be any match, though.. This contract will hang above the ring… break out the ladders! crowd pops Mr. Gunn will be a busy man tonight, since the Outlaws will also be defending the tag team titles… right now.
EWE Tag Team Title Match New Age Outlaws Vs. Val Venis/Dennis Condrey The Outlaws didn’t do their usual entrance, rather discussing their gameplan as they headed out to the ring. Jericho stopped and said ‘I’ll take care of it’ as he went to the back. The match was a quick one, Road Dogg never tagged his partner in, and took care of Dennis Condrey in short order. New Age Outlaws def. Val Venis/Dennis Condrey with Pump Handle Slam @ 4:15
James stayed in the ring after the match, telling the commissioner he really should find them some decent competition, ‘to keep your end of the deal’.
Backstage: Nick Mondo was on his cell phone: Mondo: Yeah, this place is just what you’re looking for… definitely no glass ceiling here. I’ll put in a good word.. See ya, Dra-- The conversation was abruptly ended when Chris Jericho attacked. The two brawled for a minute or two, with Mondo recovering and splitting Jericho open with his cell phone before security got there to break it up.
Al Snow Vs. Iceberg** Al showed the young fella a few things in this one… pretty much a squash. Al Snow def. Iceberg with the Snow Plow @ 3:18
Al got the crowd fired up, showing clips of the two wins Tommy Dreamer had at Hardcore Revolution over old friend Sabu and Bulldog Brower. The boos quickly started when the clip of the masked man interfering in the match was shown. Al demanded the masked man come up to New York, and promised to give him a little Head. big pop
Marc Mero* Vs. Tom Zenk Mero had quite the entourage for the match, with first Gangrel and Luna Vachon, then April Hunter, at ringside. Hunter actually turned out to be a distraction, and Zenk took advantage and got the win with a cross body block. After the match, Hunter ran in to the ring to ‘comfort’ Mero, but Vachon chased her off, the two fighting to the back. Gangrel seemed to want to chat, and bent Mero’s ear all the way to the locker room. Tom Zenk def. Marc Mero with a flying cross body @ 4:36
Ladder Match for an EWE Title shot Nick Mondo***** Vs. Billy Gunn***** Crazy match! Mondo came out with ‘tools’… light tubes, a roll of quarters, ghetto fork, and a host of other weapons. Both men bled early and often, with Mondo nearly getting the contract, but instead deciding to hit a devastation M. Bison off the ladder. Gunn recovered in time to knock the ladder over, sending Mondo crashing to the floor. Gunn propped him on the ladder’s side and hit the Famasser, then pushed him off to get the contract. Gunn was about to get it when Fireworks sounds and the crowd erupted as the Dudley Boys hit the ring! Bubba Ray took out the ladder while Devon got the tables! Gunn took a Bubba Bomb through the table before Road Dogg and Jericho hit the ring… by then , Mondo was back up and the brawl was on. Security hit the ring the match was declared a no contest. As they were being escorted out, Bubba was shouting, “we got your competition, right here.” Nick Monda Vs. Billy Gunn declared a No Contest

EWE No Angels Tour Ashbury Park Convention Center; Ashbury Park, NY Jan. 20th, 2009
Chris Jericho** Vs. Spike Dudley**** Spike was impressive in his EWE debut, taking the best Jericho had and battling back to get a near pin. Jericho resorted to a handful of tights to get the victory after a sunset flip. Chris Jericho def. Spike Dudley with a Sunset Flip @ 9:45
After the match, Jericho ranted at the crowd, while Sam headed for the ring. He was walking with a purpose, and carrying an envelope. Nick Mondo (who was on his cell phone) fell into step with him as he walked by, signaling to someone as he did so. Jericho was still at it when Sam arrived, and announced that this was Jericho’s last match in EWE, handing Y2J his transfer papers to GNP. Mondo shook his hand while a stunned Jericho starting repeating “but I’m gonna be the star” over and over again. Mondo got back on the phone, simply saying ‘It’s done’ before hanging up and cracking Jericho over the head with it. Mondo then headed back to the locker room while Necro Butcher continued the beat down until Security was able to escort Jericho out of the building as the fans chanted ‘biggest loser’ at him.
Dudley Boyz Vs. High Flyers** The Dudleys made quick work of the somewhat out of place team, pretty much a squash. The Dudley Boyz def. The High Flyers when D-Von pinned Jim Brunzell after a diving Head butt @ 3:31
‘Wildman’ Marc Mero (w/ Gangrel) Vs. ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll’ Buck Zumhofe** Whatever Gangrel has been preaching to Mero the last couple weeks apparently finally sunk in. Mero was wearing new, darker ring attire, and was accompanied by the vampire. Mero seemed more intense and focused, and really laid a beating on Zumhofe, with some help from his new ally outside the ring. Gangrel ordered him to do additional damage after the bell, but Tom Zenk came out for the save. Marc Mero def. Buck Zumhofe with the Mero Sault @ 6:20
‘Road Dogg’ Jesse James** vs. Necro Butcher*** Truly a hardcore battle! Most of the action in this one was outside the ring, and a wide array of weapons were used. James was talking throughout the match, trying to get Necro to say what Nick Mondo was up to, but Necro continually answered with another shot with…something. James finally got the pin when Necro was knocked nearly unconscious with a DDT onto a cinder block. ‘Road Dogg’ Jesse James def. Necro Butcher with a DDT @ 11:36
Strong Kobayashi*** Vs. Nick Mondo*** The action was fast and furious, with Mondo showing he’s not just a garbage wrestler. Kobayashi lived up to his billing and was able to overpower Mondo, while Mondo showed off his arial tactics. Kobayashi worked on Mondo’s knees, continually returning to the Boston Crab, and slowed him enough to get the victory in a great match. Strong Kobayashi def. Nick Mondo @ 18:19 with an Atomic Drop
Tommy Dreamer came out to a big pop after the match, bowing to Kobayashi, then helping Mondo up. He told the crowd that he had some business to take care of this week, and that the Phony Elvises were coming up to the ballroom to Tommy does his best Jimmy Hart impression show the EWE real wrestling. He then turned to Mondo, and promised him a title shot once that was taken care of. Mondo nodded, and told Tommy that didn’t make them friends. Tommy said ‘fair enough’ then clobbered Mondo, planting him with the Dreamer DDT for good measure before leaving the ring to end the show.

EWE No Angels Tour Jan. 22nd, 2009 O’Neil Center, Danbury, CT
Naptown Dragons** Vs. High Flyers Not a very impressive debut for the Dragons. Greg Gagne outwrestled Dustin Lee badly and got him to tap to the sleeper before Scotty could make the save. High Flyers def. Naptown Dragons with the Gagne Sleeper @ 4:14
Drake Younger** (w/ Nick Mondo) Vs. Strong Kobayashi **** Kobayashi once again gets the crowd on their feet! Younger seems to have the Japanese star well scouted, and was able to keep from getting bogged down on the mat as Mondo did earlier the week. Bringing a few light tubes with him didn’t hurt either. Drake Younger def. Strong Kobayashi with a frog splash @ 11:57
Jimmy Hart came out to the ring next, with Honky Tonk Man, Greg Valentine and Jim Niedhart, to a chorus of boos. Hart forgave the fans… “It’s not your fault. You’ve never seen real wrestling. These three guys will show you. You don’t have to be mutants any more! You see..” Tommy Dreamer had heard enough, and the Hardcore Legends hit the ring! After a short brawl (while Hart got out of Dodge) Commissioner Wildfire came out with security, and created some order. He send Tommy Dreamer and Greg Valentine to the back and called for the bell. Hart was screeching “don’t forget our agreement!” as he was giving orders to security. Wildfire nodded disgustedly and followed his champion to the back.
Honky Tonk Man/Jim Niedhart(w/ Jimmy Hart) Vs. Hardcore Legends The impromptu nature of the match left the Legends without their usual ‘tools’, and Hart’s men took advantage. Hart kept trying to convince the crowd hwo great his guys were, and got chants of ‘boring’ and ‘you suck’ for his trouble. Sandman and Snow were able to control Honky, but had not answer for Niedhart’s power. Honky Tonk Man/Jim Neidhart def. Hardcore Legends with a power slam on Al Snow at 11:42
Gangrel (w/ Marc Mero) Vs. Tom Zenk (w/ Buck Zumhofe) Gangrel made quick work of Zenk here, thanks to Mero holding up Zumhofe’s boom box for Gangrel to whip him into. Zumhofe went crazy, but Mero overpowered him and kept him busy while Gangrel finished the job. Gangrel def. Tom Zenk with a Double Arm Suplex @ 3:05
Commissioner Wildfire came out, with Jimmy Hart practically jumping up and down behind him. He told the crowd that part of the agreement ot get Hart’s men up to EWE was a title shot, if they won the early match. Tommy Dreamer was quickly out, assuring the crowd the EWE title wasn’t going anywhere. Hart then cracked his megaphone on the back of Dreamer’s head, as Greg Valentine came charging out from the back to start the match.
EWE Title Match Tommy Dreamer Vs. Greg Valentine Not content to just win, Valentine immediately slapped on the figure four.. Looking to make Dreamer give up to lose the title. Dreamer refused to tap, but seemed as if he was about o lose consciousness when Nick Mondo, Drake Younger, and the Naptown Dragons stormed the ring! They broke up the pin, tossed Valentine, and had Hart by the neck when the Commissioner came back out and ordered them to let him go, ‘even though he doesn’t deserve it.’ The match was ruled a Disqualification win for Valentine. Hart was livid, but the commissioner simply said “Extreme doesn’t doesn’t mean anarchy, it just means we like to be the hell out of each other by any means necessary” and he helped Dreamer to the back as Hart continued to rail. Greg Valentine def. Tommy Dreamer by DQ due to outside interference @ 1:36
