Guys, I didn't get a chance to post the booking spreadsheet last night. I'll try posting it this weekend, as it's on my home computer and I'm at work tonight.

I posted the booking spreadsheet on both Legendary Promoters and our LOW Bootlegs group. I saved a second copy, with some of my own plans taken out, in case things change. (I didn't want my booking plans getting out on the Internet!) Enjoy! Let me know if you have any questions on how to use them. And thanks again to Tim for letting me post them.

Don't you know that the internet has spoiled all wrestling booking? Thanks! Graymar

This week The Masked Assassin defeated Sgt Slaughter for my SSCW belt and when I planned this match I never thought he'd win I just thought it would be a decent match. I thought about ignoring the pin and going on with with the match but decided to go with the results. I did add something about about an ally of The Masked Assassin interfering just to make it seem like The Masked Assassin couldn't win without help. How do you guys handle unexpected results.

I actually enjoy upsets like that... What really drives me crazy is when you build up a feud for a month or two and have a three roll pin for the big showdown match.

That's a good situation, CC, as it's come up in my fed a lot. For me, it depends on who gets the upset and whom they beat. Typically if it's a heel wrestler winning over someone you wouldn't think he'd beat, I have some kind of interference or illegal action (using the ropes, for example) involved. In my USWA fed, Rikidozan has had a tough year. He lost to Rick Rude, with whom he is feuding, but then I said he used his feet on the ropes for the pin. (Part of the reason was too, that Rikidozan recovered afterward and gave Rude a minor injury on the Feud Table!) The next card Greg Valentine beat Rikidozan. I didn't want to blame two losses in a row on "heel tactics". Valentine's had some big wins in the past and won with a neckbreaker. So I said Valentine just focused on the neck (connected also to Rude beating Rikidozan with the Rude Awakening) throughout the match. I don't want to always use the "interference" or "cheating" excuse for any upset. In this game, anything can happen and I'd like to think that sometimes that means anything.

How often do you have your champions defend their titles?. I try to keep around every 3-4 cards

TV title gets defended every week, with very few exceptions.
The US title gets defended three times during a tour cycle, with very few exceptions. (Each tour is 4 weeks with an "A" show and a "B" show each week, with a supercard at the end of the tour.)
The Tag Team and World titles get defended twice during a tour cycle, with very few exceptions.
Also, I rarely have the US, Tag and World titles defended on the same show unless its the supercard.
The exception is the Great American Bash tour, where its all big matches, title matches, etc...there is no build to a supercard there, as every show is a mini-supercard.

In a typical "month", I have three cards. The three top titles (World Heavyweight, Tag Team, and Southern) rotate through and are defended (in that order) as the main event of each card. I kind of have the "30-day rule" in effect, but it's more like "once a calendar month", then every actual 30 days.
The Texas title is obviously only defended on Texas cards. Presently, I run about 6-7 Texas cards a year, so this doesn't get defended as often as the top three.
In months that I have a supercard, the defenses may get changed up. With my New Year's Knockout show in December, if a title will get defended, I will announce that match ahead of time, and then often the champ doesn't have to defend on the regular card that month. (Again, referring to the "once a month" defense rule.) The champ(s) may wrestle in the main event of the regular card, but it wouldn't be a title defense. I hope that makes sense.
NYK is currently the only annual supercard I hold, although I'll be having an extra supercard this year. I haven't decided if it will be an annual event or not.
